Getting There
By Air

Cape Town International Airport is the second largest airport in South Africa. There are multiple flights daily to Johannesburg, Durban and all other major South African cities, as well as the Namibian cities of Windhoek, Swakopmund and Walvis Bay and other destinations, including Gaborone, Maun and Nairobi.

By Rail

The Blue Train is the legendary luxury train service, and is by far the most stylish and comfortable way to get from Pretoria to Cape Town. In its long history, this train had served uncountable numbers of presidents, celebrities and other public figure.

By Road

All major bus companies have intercity connections from Cape Town, taking you to other cities in South Africa and to Windhoek in Namibia. There might be up to 6 buses a day to certain cities.

Day 1
Cape Town - Oudtshroon

Travel through Montagu, a historic spa town, and the ‘Little Karoo’. Enjoy wine tasting along Route 62, known as “The World’s Longest Wine Route”. In the town of Barrydale, have the opportunity to visit a local farm school, interact with the children and teachers, spending time with them in the classroom learning more about the local farming community, before continuing to Oudtshoorn, the “ostrich feather capital” and centre of the world’s Ostrich farming industry. Overnight stay at Oudtshoorn.

Day 2
Oudtshroon - Knysna

Morning after breakfast, visit the spectacular limestone caverns of the Cango Caves, one of the world’s great natural wonders, sculpted by nature through the ages. Continue over the Outeniqua Pass to George, travel via Victoria Bay to Wilderness, an attractive holiday resort with beautiful beaches. Later in the afternoon reach Knysna, nestled on the banks of a beautiful lagoon. Overnight stay at Knysna.

Day 3

Leisurely start before lagoon cruise to Featherbed Nature Reserve, trailer ride to top of Western Head, and walk back through Milkwood trees for lunch. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Knysna.

Day 4

Explore the natural beauty of the Knysna area. Visit the Garden of Eden, set in the lush Knysna forest, and the Knysna Elephant Park. Later proceed to the famous Eastern Head to enjoy spectacular views of the Knysna Heads. Next travel to Brenton on Sea, a breathtaking holiday location and a nature lover’s paradise. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Knysna.

Knysna - Tsitsikamma

Morning after breakfast travel to Plettenberg Bay, the jewel of the Garden Route, before continuing to Bloukrans Bridge, the highest single span arch bridge in the world, currently offering the highest commercially operated Bungy Jump in the world. Visit the Tsitsikamma National Park and Storms River Mouth. The Tsitsikamma National Park incorporates 80 km of rocky coastline with spectacular sea and landscapes, a remote mountainous region with secluded valleys covered in mountain Fynbos and temperate high forests with deep river gorges leading down to the sea. Overnight stay at the Tsitsikamma area.

Tsitsikamma - Port Elizabeth

Morning after breakfast head eastwards along the Tsitsikamma Forest to Port Elizabeth, known as the “friendly city”, with a wonderful climate and its well known oceanarium and snake house. Enjoy a city orientation tour of Port Elizabeth, where the tour ends.

Areas Covered

Cape Town: Cape Town is the second largest city in South Africa and is the capital of the Western Cape Province. It is located in the south-west corner of the country near the Cape of Good Hope, and is the most southern city in Africa. It is a stone's throw from South Africa's world-famous Cape Winelands around Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek.

Oudtshoorn: Oudtshoorn is situated in the Western Cape in South Africa and world-known for its ostrich farms and the nearby Cango Caves. The town's economy is primarily reliant on the ostrich farming and tourism industries. Oudtshoorn is home to the world's largest ostrich population, with a number of specialized ostrich breeding farms, such as the Safari Show Farm and the Highgate Ostrich Show Farm.

Knysna: Knysna, pearl of the scenic Garden Route, is situated between George and Plettenberg Bay. Perennially green thanks to a Mediterranean Maritime climate with rain falling throughout the year, Knysna is mantled by indigenous forests extending into the Tsitsikamma National Park area.

Tsitsikamma: The Tsitsikamma forms part of the Cacadu District of the Eastern Cape and is branded as one of the Cacadu District's seven wonders due to its beauty.The area is covered in large tracts of indigenous forest and Fynbos with deep river gorges that cleft the plateau as they make their way down to the sea, creating spectacular waterfalls and deep kloofs.

Port Elizabeth: Port Elizabeth is South Africa's fifth largest city and is located on the Indian Ocean coast half-way between Cape Town and Durban, in the Eastern Cape, about 260 km from Knysna. Also known as the friendly city and the windy city, it tends to live up to both names.
