Day 1
Raipur – Kanker (Approx 135Km/3Hrs]

Arrival at Raipur airport and start for Bastar the tribal heartland of India by road. Firstly visit the Gateway of Bastar Kanker The Heritage Palace. The elegant and marvelous Kanker Palace was built in 1937 as the residence of a British agent and at present lived by the royal family. On arrival feel the magic of this magical palace and your host will be Mr. Ashwin Deo/ Jolly the present king. After spending some great time in the palace enjoy the lavish food served in the dinner. Overnight stay at the palace.

Kanker and Around

After a pleasant nature walk and having a healthy breakfast start your journey to explore Kanker and its rich natural surroundings. Kanker describes the lifestyle of tribal people and natural beauty of Chhattisgarh. Later enjoy a delicious lunch then return back.Overnight stay at palace.

Kanker – Kondagaon – Jagdalpur

After having an amazing breakfast at the palace proceed towards Kondagaon and enjoy shopping over there with Tribal Bastar Handicrafts items and after that we proceed to Anthropological Museum of Central India in Jagdalpur City and then back to the resort. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Jagdalpur.

Day 4

Post breakfast proceed for your visit to the caves with stalactite and stalagmite formations and then visit the refreshing seven tier Teeragarh Waterfalls enjoy your picnic lunch at the waterfalls and after that we proceed to see the breathtaking beauty of nature Chitrakote Waterfalls. Evening return back to the resort in Jagdalpur. Overnight stay at Jagdalpur.

Visit Dhruva Village and Malhar Tribe

After breakfast proceed for a all day adventure trip to Dhurava Village [150km/2hrs] where you have an option for trekking to the primitive Dhurva Village or you have an option of visiting the Malhar Tribes as well. Return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Jagdalpur.

Jagdalpur - Tribal Haat

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel proceed to Tribal Haat, a Haat is a weekly market. The haat has something for everyone, items of daily use like pots an baskets, food items, jewellary item, toys and much more are there to be explored. Return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Jagdalpur.

It is the administrative headquarters of Bastar District and Bastar Division, and was the capital of the erstwhile princely state of Bastar.

  • Bastar: The land of tribes and natural resources, is the largest tribal district of the newly formed Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The major tribes of the Bastar region are the Gond, Abhuj Maria, Bhatra, Halbaa, Dhurvaa, Muria and BisonHorn Maria. The Gonds of Bastar are one of the most famous tribes in India, known for their unique Ghotul system of marriages. Gonds are also the largest tribal group of central India in terms of population.

Shopping in Raipur Terracotta products and stone sculptures. Raipur is also known countrywide for its cotton fabrics with works of kinari and zari. Woodworks are also admired items for shopping in Raipur. The expert artisans of Raipur carve out table lamps, side tables, boxes and various other utilities and objects d'art, which serve as extraordinary souvenirs. Though Raipur does not have any major shopping complex there are many government promoted shops and private ones.

Bastar Handicrafts: Bastar’s dhokhra work is certainly the most famous handicraft from this state and its fame has long reached the international stage.

  • Hareli Festival : This is more a festival for the farmers which fall in the month of Shravan during which the people worship the cattles and the farm equipments
  • Pola Festival : Hareli is closely followed by Pola festival. The main highlight of this festival is bull race which attracts a major crowd.
  • Teej Festiva : This is the festival of the Northern states. Ladies enjoy swings while singing traditional Teej songs. Idol of goddess Parvati is also worshipped.
  • Rajim Lochan Festival : This festival is held in the month of February. This festival entertains the people with cultural events.
  • Champaran Annual Fair : An annual fair is held every year, in the month of Magh (January-February).
  • Bhoramdeo Festival : This is a major festival of the Bhoramdeo temple during which the temple campus is filled with people. Various activities are organized as part of the festival.
