You will then drive to Halebidu which is the capital of the Hoysala Dynasty. The ornate Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples dot the landscape of this picturesque city, making them important tourist attractions. You will then head to Badami which is famous for its magnificent rock-cut cave temples and red sandstone cliffs that resemble the Wild West. On the next day you will travel to Aihole which is popular for attractions such as Durga Temple, Lad Khan Temple and Virupaksha Temple amongst others.

Day 1
Bangalore Airport / Rly Station - Hassan (Approx 184Kms/04Hrs)

On arrival at Bangalore Airport / Railway Station, you will be greeted by our Local representative who will transfer you to Hassan. Enroute visit Sharvanbelagola – the tallest Monolithic statue of Gomateshwara. From here proceed to Belur,the capital of Hoysala Dyansty. Visit Chennakesava Temple - built on a star shaped platform with anambulatory and has hand lathe turned filigreed pillars and sculptures. Later proceed to Halebid, visit Hoysaleshwara Temple – which comprises two temples joined by a single platform dedicated to Lord Shiva and Shantleshwara. The walls are richly carved with epics of Ramayana and Mahabharata. On arrival in Hassan check in to the Hotel. Overnight stay in Hassan.

Badami - Badami, located in the Bagalkot district of North Karnataka, was the capital of the Chalukya Dynasty. It is famous for rock cut and other structural temples and is located in a ravine at the foot of a rugged, red sandstone outcrop that surrounds Agastya lake.
