And in case of emergencies, modern medical facilities are available at the nearby towns of Baihar and Malachkhand. There is no television in the room & the Resort is only 2 mins away from the park gate.

Introduction:

The lush sal and bamboo forests, grassy meadows and ravines of Kanha provided inspiration to Rudyard Kipling for his famous novel "Jungle Book". The Park's landmark achievement is the preservation of the rare hard ground Swamp Deer (Barasingha), saving it from near extinction. Stringent conservation programs for the overall protection of the Park's fauna and flora, makes Kanha one of the most well maintained National Parks in Asia. A heightened attraction within the Park is Bamni Dadar, popularly known as Sunset Point that offers the most awe-inspiring backdrop of the sunset against grazing Gaurs, magnifying the natural splendour of the area. Aside from its diverse wildlife and bird population, the frequent sightings of Tigers roaming in the wild at Kanha Wildlife Sanctuary remain the most popular draw. The park has two entrance gates at its opposite ends, one at Khatia-Kisli and other one is at Mukki Gate. The distance between these two gates is of 40 kms. The boundary line of the tiger reserve touches the Raipur City of Chhattisgarh. India's second national park, the Kanha Tiger Reserve is the pride of the dense forests between the Vindhaya and Satpura ranges to offer the variety of flora and fauna.
