Effortlessly binding history and traditional values, the Edakkal Hermitage combines spectacular vistas of nature and the timeless appeal of heritage of the nearby pre-historic Edakkal caves, with its warm ambience and vernacular architecture. It is in this amazing environ that one can be as captivated by the past as with the present. It is undoubtedly here that one can explore the essence of Edakkal to experience its magic. It is irrepressibly here that one can succumb to the lure of cave art and the art of caving in. It is a 30 acre Coffee & Pepper plantation with 7 (Seven) Cottages, 2 Standard Cottages (Kapova One & Two) & 5 Deluxe Cottages (Altamira, Lascaux, Chauvet, Edakkal & New Cottage). All the cottages are of different sizes  & shapes. They were built according to the available land terrain. It comprises of a small amphitheater, a Restaurant & also a small Natural Cave, where we host Candle Light Dinner for our guests.

  • Edakkal : This cottage has been named after the Edakkal caves, Wayanad, that comprise of a unique form of pre - historic pictographic etchings. These arguably date back to 5000BC.

  • Altamira : Cottage Altamira has been named after the famous cave site in Spain that boasts of Paleolithic cave paintings, which date back to 30,000BC.

  • Lascaux : This cottage that commands an uninterrupted and majestic view of the valley, derives its name from the most famous pre- historic cave site in the world that houses paintings dating back to 15000BC.

  • Chauvet :Located right next to cottage Lascaux, sitting comfortably over a large rock is the cottage called Chauvet, which is another cave site of pre - historic repute in the south of France.

  • Kapova : Kapova is a two bed-roomed cottage separated from the rest of the resort and perched on the edge of a cliff. It is named after a pre- historic cave site of repute in Russia.

Banasura Sagar Dam - The dam extends to a wide area with crystal clear waters. Undisturbed and engulfed amidst the hills, Bansura Sagar Dam is an absolute beauty. It is an ideal place for picnic as it is surrounded by the bounty of nature and the low sound of the clear water gives a feeling of freshness.

Kuruva Dweep - Its serene silence and wide expanse of the evergreen forest leaves you astonishing. This island is isolated but an array of uncommon species of birds, herbs and orchids are the monarchs of Kuruva Island.
