Introduction:

Port Blair is the capital city of Andaman and Nicobar Island. It is the largest town in the Andaman district. It lies on the east coast of South Andaman Island and is the main entry point to the islands. The city is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places of this exotic island. Remarkable for its clean and serene beauty, Port Blair is visited by thousands of tourist from all over the world. This wonderful place is the treasure house of marine life thriving on its wide starched coastal beaches. Known for famous beaches and eye catching vistas, this place is heaven for travelers. Water Sports Complex:
Water Sports Complex is another place that merits a visit. If you love aqua sports then this is the place for you. Indulge in sports like water skiing, speed boating and wind surfing at the Water Sports Complex.

Gandhi Park:
A striking park at Port Blair was an erstwhile Dhiltaman Tank – the sole source of drinking water to Port Blair, which was developed into a park within 13 days. The park includes facilities like nature trails, lake, garden, restaurant, and a Japanese Temple. Children will enjoy themselves at an amusement park.

Marina Amusement Park:
With rides like giant wheels, dragon coaster and toy train, Marina Amusement Park is another place you must visit at Port Blair. Located adjacent to the Water Sports Complex, the park boasts of a miniature botanical garden and a statue of Subhash Chandra Bose a mute reminder of the colonial past.

Zsi Museum:
Exhibits a huge variety of sponges, corals, butterflies, and centipedes in addition to other animals are there in this museum

Corbyn's Cove:
Corbyn's Cove is a serene and unspoiled soft sandy beach in Port Blair. This beach is set in picturesque backgrounds of lush green coconut palms and pleasant sea. There is a pristine tourism Complex, which offers all kinds of facilities for an enthusiastic traveler. This is an ideal spot for sun basking and sea bathing. The main attractions in this beach are the inviting water sports activities. This beach and the water closed to the beach are perfect location for surfing, scuba diving and boating.

Mount Harriet:
Its natural charm and beauty attracts a lot of visitors. From the top of the peak, one can get a magnificent view of the Port Blair city, the Ross Island and the Havelock Island.

North Bay (Coral) Island:
The beach around Coral Island is well known for water corals. The island with pristine sand beaches, edged by natural beauty is perfect for sea loving human and nature lovers. The coral reefs are beautifully adored by nature drawing many visitors.

Jolly Buoy Island:
This Island has flaunts of having almost white sand beach with canopies and dense bushes. A mixture of both shallow and deep waters, the island is perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving. Rich in colorful and beautiful fauna, the underwater marine life here is fantastic.

Science Centre:
This science centre reveals the science behind the functioning of Oceans, the maturation of Corals and behavior of fish with the climatic changes. The Centre itself is the integration of the aspects of Geography and Science. Science Centre also has an amphibian seaplane, operating in the region and a host of outdoor exhibits.
 

Getting around the destination:

The best way of transportation is by foot or by buses, taxis, auto rickshaws and boat services to move around the city.

Traditional island crafts like fine wood carvings, shells, Shell Jewelry, bamboo and cane furniture from emporiums and speciality shops located here.
