Just opposite to Malvan beach, Sindhudurg Fort is an ancient Fort built by The Great Maratha King Chatrapati Shivaji in 16 century. To reach this fort you have to go by ferryboat arranged at Malvan beach.

People go to their neighboring families and also provide invitation to other ladies for a special ceremony named "Haldi-Kunku". The festival takes place in the month of January.
