Introduction:

Malshej Ghat has a charm that appeals to the adventure enthusiast, hikers, nature lovers, trekkers, outdoor lovers and tourists. This hill station is renowned for its waterfalls, placid lakes and serene mountains. Beautiful waterfalls, verdant green hillsides, interesting rock formations, the hill station of Malshej Ghat has all of this. Malshej Ghat is for the flamboyant flamingoes, which come here between July and September all the way from Europe. In addition to its spectacular flora and fauna, Malshej Ghat also has historic forts, resorts and sanctuaries.

Places of Tourist Interest:

Harishchandragad Peak: 
The Harishchandragad Peak is favourite with trekkers. It is unique because here lays the semi-circular rock wall of the Konkan Kada.

Pimpalgaon-Joga Dam:
This dam is a long bund, which blocks the Pushpavati River that springs out of Malshej Ghat and creates a lake in the monsoons. Several species of birds including the alpine swift, purple moorhen, pitta, quail, whistling thrush, green pigeon, and pied crested cuckoo have been spotted by ornithologists around the dam.

Malshej Falls:
This magnificent hill station is full of waterfalls during monsoons and some of them are too big that they even fall down on the road.

Ajoba Hill Fort:
An attractive and famous spot which offers rock climbing and trekking activities, this is the most visited place in the region.
