Cancellation Policy
  • To book and block a seat kindly pay INR 5000/- as advance and balance payment can be made 45 days prior to commencement of tour.
  • Any cancellation received 30 days prior to Group Travel will attract INR 5000/- as cancellation charges.
  • Cancellation received within 30 days of Travel date will be charged 75% of the amount as cancellation charges.
Important Information
  • A valid driver license is a must
  • Clothing – Please carry appropriate clothing keep the terrain and altitude in mind, as we will be travelling from plains with hi temperature to higher altitude where it could be cold and windy, a good layer of thermals is recommended along with other clothing needed for Tour.
  • Protective Clothing – While helmet will be provided with bikes, it is essential (though not compulsory) to get your own protective gear such as riding jacket, boots etc. But we definitely recommend having atleast a pair of good quality Riding Gloves and Legs and Arms guard.
  • Rain & Water repellent clothing – there are high chances that we may encounter rain during our ride or end up crossing water streams etc, hence be prepared for such situation and carry proper rain gear with you. Weather is these parts can change very quickly from bright sunny day to overcast rainy day.
  • Physical Fitness – It is recommended that you have a good physical fitness in general for this tour, since it involves daily rides and sometimes under tough conditions. Also in few places we will be staying at high altitudes, hence a general physical fitness goes a great length in having a great experience.
  • Medication & Doctor Consultation – For Riders having any chronic health related issues; it is always advisable to consult your physician before starting or booking the tour. Do carry your regularly used medicines along with you for the chances of getting them along them/ way are very remote.
  • Altitude Acclimatization – Our Itinerary starts from Shimla and we gradually gain altitude allowing body to get properly acclimatized to the terrain and altitude. Although Rare Altitude Mountain Sickness or (AMZ) can happen at higher altitude and we do carry basic medication for the same, however in case of Acute Sickness, the rider will be sent back immediately.
  • Other Misc Things to Carry – Please travel light and pack only essential items, do not carry suitcases with you – but only Rucksacks or Duffel Bags and do carry rain covers for the luggage. Other essential to carry a good pair Sunglasses, lots of inner garments, Flip flops, Sunscreen, Small Torch, Water Bottle, Cord Cables with Hooks, A small Bag with essentials during riding (Bags will be tied to Bikes) or will travel in support vehicle
  • Connectivity – The Area we are travelling in is very remote, so expect very less to no signal on your phones, unless you have a BSNL SIM card. Other than BSNL all other connections are very weak or negligible, even BSNL may or may not work to full capacity in most of the places. Guest will have hotel information in advance and in case anyone want to reach you in emergency, they will be able to call and get in touch with you at hotel.

Getting There

By AIR - The nearest airport to Shimla is Jubbarhatti located at a distance of 22Kms from Shimla city, however the nearest major Airport to Shimla is Chandigarh which is well connected with all major airlines in India and has good flight frequencies as well.

By TRAIN - Kalka Railway Station at 90Kms from Shimla is the nearest broad gauge railway station and for people interested is going ahead to Shimla from Kalka in Train, the famous Toy train is the best option taking a comfortable 5.5hrs to complete the journey, for guests arriving in Kalka can easily take taxi to Shimla and reach in 3.5 hrs. Alternatively Chandigarh is also a major rail station, and from here guests can take a taxi to Shimla.

By Road - Shimla is well connected with many highways and the roads are generally in good shape (barring few development work in between). Guest riding directly can easily take any of the routes and highways to reach Shimla, for those arriving at Chandigarh via Train / Flight or Bus - can easily proceed ahead to Shimla from Chandigarh via Buses and Taxis which have multiple frequencies available

Day 1
Arrival in Shimla

Arrive into hotel in Shimla by Lunch time, the fastest and easiest way to reach Shimla will be from Chandigarh for all people arriving by flight. Otherwise Delhi, is the best option for having overall connectivity with all cities.

Post Lunch and Some rest, we will get started with rider introduction and interaction which will be followed by discussing riding gear and general safety rules. Next a detailed understanding of our route and daily plans for the itinerary, this will be fun interactive session for an hour or so.

Post early afternoon Tea we will allocate the bikes and take them out for a ride around Shimla, so that all riders get comfortable with their bikes and settle down quickly. A good understanding of your machine will allow a great riding experience and adventure

Day 2
Shimla to Sarahan (160 Kms / 5-6 Hrs)

Post early morning post breakfast we will start for Sarahan, passing the famous tourist areas of Kufri and Theog and later we will have the great river Sutej giving us company for most of the route, till we divert from Highway towards Sarahan at Jeori. Sarahan is a small but beautiful town famous for Bhimakali temple, dedicated to the mother goddess Bhimakali. There is also a bird sanctuary and few nearby attractions in Sarahan which can be visited locally in evening.

Day 3
Sarahan to Kalpa (100 Kms / 04 Hrs)

Post Breakfast we will start from Sarahan and head towards Kalpa, enroute we will pass Reckong Peo and Foreign nationals visiting Spiti valley are required to obtain necessary permits here at Reckong Peo. Kalpa is another small town surrounded by Pine Forests known for its Apple orchards and towering peaks, and from Kalpa once can also get glimpses of the majestic Kinner Kailash

Day 4
Kalpa to Nako (110 Kms / 05 Hrs)

Another short distance but interesting journey awaits us today, Heading our post breakfast, we start for Nako – small village in close proximity to the Indo-China Border, along the way we will take pit stop at KHAB (Khab Sangam - which is the point for confluence of river Sutlej and Spiti). With certain luck and fair weather we can enjoy great view of Leo Purygal Peak. Places of interest in Nako are Nako Lake, Local Village area, Nako Monastery, along with many other smaller Buddhist shrines

Day 5
Nako to Kaza via Gue & Dhankar ( 150 kms / 8–9 Hrs )

Destination for today will be Kaza, but today will be a very power packed day – with many detours and adventures enroute. Our first challenge today will be Malling Nallah which we will encounter soon after we leave Nako, Next will take a 16 kms roundtrip detour ahead of Sumdo Village to visit Gue Village and Gue Monastery – visiting the famous mummy (around 650 yrs old – according to records it’s the only well preserved mummy on India Subcontinent and what makes this visit even more interesting is the legend behind the nails and hair of mummy which according to local are still growing)

Our next stop will be the famous Tabo Monastery (around 1000yrs old), and after spending some time here we will head towards Village of Dhankar (a detour of 16kms approx) just ahead of Siluk Village. The place is famous for Dhankar Monastery (old and new) and while the monastery in itself is great – it is the location, ruggedness of the surrounding barren mountains and the elevation at which the monastery is perched which add to the charm and charisma of this place. And once again we head back on the highway and straight to our final destination for today KAZA

Day 6
Kaza to Chandratal (60 Kms / 4–5 Hrs)

Another adventurous day today where we will use our driving skills to the best, The distance to be covered today will be short, however the terrain and road conditions will prolong the travel time and journey. Road to Chandrataal will pass through Kunzum Pass situated at altitude of (4600mts – approx 15,000 ft),our route take past the beautiful and quaint villages of Rangrik, Pangmo and Loser.

From the Highway the Ascend to Chandrataal is almost 12 to 13kms one way – and the road is single land narrow strip going all the way up. Your off roading skill will be put to test – but in the end the efforts will be awarded by the most awesome sight of Chandrataal. Be prepared for hike as Bikes will not be allowed to go all the way to lake.

Day 7
Chandratal to Manali (120 Kms / 8–9 Hrs)

Starting post B/F we head back to Kunzum Pass highway to enjoy best for the last or as the saying goes (the best riding on the worst patch) right from Chandrataal all the way till Gramphu via Batal, we will constantly encounter extended patches of bad road, water crossings and occasional traffic situation. Even though we will be covering just 120 – 130 kms at max, yet this patch will take most of the day to cross.

Once at Gramphu we will start our ascend towards the famous Rohtang Pass (02nd Highest Pass on our journey at approx 3970Mtrs or 13,050 ft), savouring all the views and sights that this place has to offer us, post Rohtang the road widens and the drive to Manali is smooth, We will arrive in Manali by late evening.

Day 8
Manali to Shimla: (250 Kms / 9 Hrs)

Pretty straight forward day, with clean open roads and long drive ahead we will start from Manali and ride towards Shimla taking NH 3 all the way till Mandi, where we will move on to NH 154 and continue onwards till Brampukhar. Few Breaks in-between later our final journey will take us to NH 205 all the way till Shimla. Upon our arrival we will hand over the Bikes and proceed towards the hotel. Rest of evening will be free to share our experience of the journey or some local shopping.

  • It is understood that Riders joining the tour are experienced riders of sound health and mental fitness to undertake such a journey.

  • As such Riders are required to sign a Indemnity Bond/Waiver Form before start of tour.

Where is the Tour Starting from ?
This Spiti Valley motorcycle tour is starting from Shimla, all riders are required to arrive in Shimla Hotel on 21st July
What Kind of Accommodation is provided ?
All hotels are deluxe category ones, with attached washrooms and restaurants, unlike other tours offering basic homestays with common washrooms.
What Kind of Bike will be given ?
We are offering all rider only Royal Enfield 350 CC, however, for Rider coming with their own bikes, they can join the group with any bike.
What about Fuel for the tour ?
Fuel is included in your tour cost and will be provided for the completion of the entire journey. Any detours by Rider will be on their own expenses.
What about Safety Gear ?
While we will provide Helmets, is it the responsibility of the rider to carry his own individual safety gear and we highly recommend carrying one.
Can I bring my own Bike / Car in this group ?
Yes !! You are most welcome to join us on your own Bike or Car. The prices for the same are mentioned in our pricing section. Please note your Vehicle, Its fuel and maintenance will be your own responsibility. In case of a breakdown, our support vehicle will assist you in their best available capacity.
